Parking Structure Project Overview:
Pan Gulf Technologies Limited delivered a comprehensive LOD 350 BIM model and accompanying Design Development (DD) and Construction Documentation (CD) drawings for a six-story parking structure fitted with rooftop photovoltaic panels. Input materials included schematic drawings, mark-ups, and PDF files.
Client Overview:
A client in the USA commissioned Pan Gulf Technologies Limited to convert schematic and marked-up PDF drawings into a structurally accurate, model-based BIM workflow for a modern parking facility.
Scope of Work:
Developed a Revit-based LOD 350 BIM model.
Produced detailed DD & CD drawing sets.
Conducted a level-wise and overall parking stall count analysis.
Key Challenges:
- Designing a BIM project template with accurate object styles, naming conventions, and line-weight standards.
- Incorporating ADA-compliant standpipes, fire extinguishers, and elevator systems according to city regulations.
- Laying out parking stalls on a ramped surface while maintaining correct counts by level.
Solutions Delivered:
Multiple modeling iterations reviewed and refined based on feedback. Frequent client interactions enabled real-time model updates. Team training was conducted to align with city-level execution and compliance standards.
