About the Project:
Pan Gulf Technologies Limited executed detailed structural steel modelling and detailing for a 4-story parking garage in the USA, designed to serve a metro commuter rail station. The project scope included main and miscellaneous steel, amounting to approximately 200 tons, and required seamless coordination with multiple trades.
Client Overview:
The client required a fast-paced delivery of structural steel detailing for the parking garage located adjacent to the RTD Metro line. With both main framing and high volumes of miscellaneous steel, the project demanded accuracy, speed, and effective trade coordination.
Scope of Work
• Created 3D model in SDS/2 of all structural steel members (main and miscellaneous steel) for the parking garage.
• Produced erection drawings, shop drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and KISS/NC files ready for fabrication.
• Coordinated with other trades and subcontractors to ensure that miscellaneous steel detailing did not impede overall schedule.
Key Challenges:
• The project was fast-paced and required agile delivery of miscellaneous steel within the overall schedule.
• Coordination issues due to multiple trades working concurrently, leading to potential clashes and rework risks.
