2D drawings, BBS, 3D Model in Tekla
To address project complexities, we identified critical elements such as segments, deviators, blisters, and piers, detailing them in 3D using Tekla to resolve clashes effectively. Given the rarity of exact similar elements, we developed an Excel document to track variations in partially similar components, including mold structure, design intent, composite structure, and PT tendon layout. This helped both our team and the client maintain clarity and consistency. Additionally, we utilized a combination of CAD RC and AutoCAD to achieve the precise bend shapes required. To further enhance coordination and understanding of client requirements, we deployed team members to the project site, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with project expectations.
The project presented several challenges, including heavily reinforced elements such as segments, deviators, blisters, and piers, with interconnected internal links that clashed with the PT tendon layout. Additionally, identifying similar elements proved difficult due to unique design variations. Different bend shapes posed another challenge, as the software did not fully support the required configurations, leading to manual adjustments. Furthermore, being an Indian project, understanding the client's specific requirements required careful coordination. However, through this process, we gained valuable insights into precast work requirements, enhancing our expertise in handling such complex structures.
