Project Summary:

01. This is a multi-family project.

02. The project consists of a two-story building, including four housing units.

03. It includes a monolithic foundation, CMU walls at the first-floor level, wooden stud walls at the second-floor level, wooden trusses, wall and floor sheathing, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom furniture, a sloping roof, and an exterior band for aesthetic purposes on the exterior elevation.

- 3D Model in Revit
- Wood Framing Model from Revit.
- Model based drawings.

Scope of work:

01. The scope of PGT is to create an LOD 300 model, which includes architectural and structural disciplines, covering both exterior and interior building elements, furniture, lighting, wooden structure, and CMU structure modeling, along with documentation.

02. This project also includes design options.

Solution Provided by PGT:

PGT received different sets of 2D drawings from the architect and truss shop drawings from the truss designer. PGT combined all this information, including the client's standards, and highlighted any issues to the customer while executing the project. The client did not have wall stud, roof, or floor sheathing drawings, so PGT modeled these elements based on the client's instructions and the drawings developed for the client.

Benefits & Challenges:

01. The obvious challenge was to understand the expectations/needs of a new customer/project and deliver a quality product within a short/tight schedule.

02. We have completed more than 14 projects for this client, including wood frame structures.
