The project included designing chamber walls with large openings using pinned bottom connections and detailed support logic, all modeled and validated using STAAD software.
The client required precision-engineered precast chamber solutions compliant with UK and Eurocode standards, including both structural analysis and constructibility considerations. Pan Gulf stepped in to design and validate key elements under geotechnical loading conditions.
Engineered precast chambers and cover slabs with structural design and detailing. Analyzed chamber walls (with large openings) using STAAD Connect, employing pinned bottom connections and upper wall freedom. Conducted base slab analysis for upthrust loads with appropriate restraints on critical faces. Designed construction staging with two-stage casting: chamber walls (including RFA strata boxes and couplers) followed by base slab with reinforcement lapping.
