About the Project
Pan Gulf Technologies Limited led the design of precast outfall structures in the UK, delivering full structural engineering, 3D modeling, reinforcement detailing, and creation of unit and shop drawings for durable infrastructure deployment.
Client Overview
The client required reliable precast solutions able to withstand hydraulic loading and stability challenges. Pan Gulf Technologies ensured that the design complied with UK structural standards, while also meeting client preferences for precast-to-precast connections.
Scope of Work
Structural design of outfall structures following Eurocodes and UK National Annexure. 3D modeling and reinforcement detailing in Tekla-compatible workflows. Production of unit and shop drawings. Stability checks against sliding, overturning, and bearing pressure using finite element analysis via STAAD Connect.
Key Challenges
Ensuring structural stability (sliding, overturning under hydraulic pressure). Addressing client requirements concerning connection preferences between precast units, which needed close coordination.
Solutions Delivered
Pan Gulf leveraged STAAD Connect for detailed analysis of stability conditions and paired it with MasterSeries Retaining Wall tools to confirm construction feasibility. The team tailored reinforcement layouts and conducted proactive RFI sessions to align with client priorities on connection detailing.
