About The Project
The project was a residential development, expected to undergo many changes post-award and initially lacked key dimensional information. PGT was up to the challenge, taking control of the project to manage delays and minimize the impact of missing information and rapid design changes. Thanks to our robust internal documentation protocol and extensive project data logging, we were able to provide our customers with the crucial information needed to deliver steel without impacting detailing.

Our Challenges & Solutions:
For a steel fabricator, it is crucial to maintain an unchanged fabrication schedule, as bottlenecking in fabrication can lead to significant cost escalations. By working in tandem with the fabricator to ensure that steel was delivered to the site on time, while also raising systematic and tracked RFIs, we were able to ensure that key information was pursued aggressively. At the same time, areas with available information were released for the shop. Regular coordination with the fabricator to reduce delays and costs was key to the successful execution of this project.
